The speakers sound good but don't use Z Electria for buying them Feb 14, 2010 Z Electria had these speakers advertised in black with a skull or blue with the hearts on 2/10/2010. I ordered the black ones for my son. I received the blue ones yesterday and quickly emailed Z Electria to tell them of their mistake. They lied and said they had it posted as being only in blue but Amazon must have not listed it correctly. Now they say they won't pay for my return shipping or give me a full refund. Later last night they quickly changed their webpage to reflect they only have these speakers in blue. Very dishonest company. Buy these speakers but go through another vendor to do it.
UPDATE on 2/15/2010. They have since changed their webpage AGAIN to reflect they have a black set in stock. Beware though these are speakers that another customer returned. They tried to get me to exchange mine for them. You will be buying speakers that have possibly been used and/or could be defective.
Impressive speakers for iPhone at $50 !!! Aug 31, 2009 I got this a week ago from [...]!!! I love it and it works nicely with my iPhone 3GS. The sound is very nice and the unit is compact and practical (cute also). And yeah, I love the price I paid for it. My only complaint would be when I plug-in the iPhone, the phone covers the infra red on the speaker and I have to operae the unit in an angle with the remote. I am a minimalist and love this speaker without any clock/alarm. I much prefer the built-in subwoofer that make the unit sound great.
great little stylish speaker but could use an alarm feature Jan 18, 2009 I bought this speaker for it's style. (The blue limited edition version is one of the cutest designs there is on the market without getting into the Hello Kitty arena.) The small footprint fits into my small apartment well, and I like that it folds up and can be stowed away or taken in a bag for travel. The sound is quite good/full for the volumes that I play at (more on the softer, 1-2 light on the volume scale). The sound quality is also better than my last JBL, granted that was older version so improvements in technology could account over the years for that.
While normally I would like the auto-off feature of the speakers, I'm a bit bummed that it doesn't have some sort of sensor for the iPod alarm so that I could wake up to my playlist. So in the meantime, I'm using my iPhone but it's also an unsatisfactory alarm clock so I keep looking.

Truly awesome and very portable! Nov 29, 2008 I purchased this item at Costco several weeks ago and have been utilizing it for the past several weeks for both listening to music and sound from my Cable TV. I have owned many iPod docks over the years including those from iHome, Klipsh (2 different ones), Bose and Altec Lansing. For the value, this one could be my favorite. With its built in sub-woofer, the sound is much more full than one would think from a device of this size. The treble is crisp and clear. So much so that when I plugged it in and played the a song from the new Guns N' Roses album for my wife she said, "First of all, your speakers sound great."
Now do these sound as good as those higher end sound docks or computer speakers? It's tough to say as I do not have them here to compare and I would guess the Bose can still get louder and sound more full. The difference here is that the docks above I am mentioning (With the exception of the iHome series) are all 2 to 3 times more expensive than the Ladybug!
Positives:
-Very versatile with ability to dock your iPod, play music from your iPod and charge while also accepting a Line In Aux for use with computers, DVD Player (with cable purchased separately) or TV.
-OK, most docks do that, but it also accepts batteries for mobile use.
-Very small and portable with not a lot of cords like some computer speakers.
-Really great, full sound for an item in this price range. I can't imagine something sounding better in the $100 realm.
-Probably fairly easy to travel with and it has good construction so it won't be damaged either.
-Sound quality blows away iHome Portable iH7 and regular iHome of which I own both.
-Includes a remote control, which I have not yet used.
-Ability to "Open" speakers for different sound distribution.
-Item also has an AV Out, which I have not used. Could this mean that an iPod Video could be sent to a TV while docked on the device? I haven not tried it and am not sure, but the slot is there.
Negatives:
-No clock or alarm for travel or LCD read-out.
-3/8" cable that comes in the box is only about 8" long and way too short for most uses. If you are planning on using this item via this cable frequently, you will probably need to purchase a longer one-depending on where your device is positioned.
Bottom Line:
If you need an iPod dock or are looking for a great gift in the $100 range, I do not know of anything else that can produce this sound quality and versatility while also being very portable as well.
