Great with the armband Jul 24, 2010
I've been using the Sansa now for a little over a year, mostly while I'm out riding a bike using the armband. I've worn it in the pouring rain on more than one occasion and it survived in addition to being hit with heat, cold and/or sweat. I use it for listening to the radio, music or occasionally audiobooks. The *only* think I wish I could figure out is how to fast forward within a track (very helpful for long audiobook tracks). Other than that, I totally love it.

SanDisk Sansa m230 512 MB MP3 Player
I got the usual good service from Amazon, but I am a little disappointed in the player.
I was riding my bike today when the player finished the songs that I had loaded onto it. When it finished the last song, it just stopped playing.
I had to stop by the side of the road, go into the menu, and click again for the player to start playing the songs over. Very, very, annoying. I didn't realize that this had to be done or I would have probably ordered something else. I don't know if it is a flaw with just my player or what.
The sound, on the other hand, is as good as the Creative Labs MuVo TX that just broke on me after six years of hard use.
It would be nice if this thing had some sort of clip that one could use to attach it to a pocket like the little rubber sleeve that came with my MuVo. It's sort of hard turning the volume up and down when the unit is in my pants pocket while I am riding down the road on my motorcycle.
It would also be good if I could turn the display around so it could be read from the other side (again, like the MuVo).
The battery life, at least the first battery, is excellent.
If the song stopping thing at the end of the list is normal for this Sandisk unit, I will be getting something else.
The best thing that this Sandisk has going for it is it uses disposable or rechargeable batteries. That's the biggest reason that I got it. Then I found out all the little things about it that annoy me.
I miss my MuVo. This thing sounds pretty good, but overall, it doesn't compare to the MuVo TX-FM 512MB that I had. Yea, I tried to find another one like it, but the only ones I found were way too expensive. :(

No, this MP3 player doesn't have all the bells and whistles of an iPod. It just plays your music, but the sound quality is fantastic. The durability is wonderful. It's lightweight and easy to use. If you're looking for an MP3 player that sounds great and is very affordable, this one is for you. It may not be able to do things such as tell your horoscope or make you a pizza like the more expensive models, but it does its work and does it well! Good buy and highly recommended.

I bought this mp3 player about 6 years ago and even with continious use it still works like new. the case that came with it is winderful i attatch it to my belt and off i go my only qualm about this mp3 player is the screen, a while back i somehow crushed it and now the screen dosent work this is however my fault and the player continues to work like a dream however no replacement screen is available.
No better deal Oct 20, 2009
Bought one over a year ago for my 9 year old who has used it daily. Naturally has taken a beating. Now my 8 yr old wants one and can't believe that this is still available at this low price. It works great, easy to use, increadible price, sounds fab, and sturdy. Wish had a recharger but based on past performance will be purchasing another.
