 Not the best choice Jul 27, 2010
I have had other Sansa MP3 players and loved them. With the kind of work that I do I use these things A LOT! I don't get much use from this player and here is why.
1. Battery doesn't last that long when charged and has to be plugged in a USB port to charge. A huge hassle.
2. Screen contrast is awfull. If you have any vision issues at all this screen will be almost impossible to see.
The buttons are fairly easy to use and the sound is good. But with the other problems I would skip this model and find one a little more user friendly. I still like Sansa just not this one.
 The c250's fatal flaw Jul 13, 2010
I have gone through 5 of these things now all because of the same problem. The left channel keeps going out. Now dont get me wrong the c250 was great until this happened the first time. I thought it was a fluke, then the second one did the exact same thing, and the third, fourth and finnaly the fifth. The only reason i even did this five times is because i called the warranty line and complained until they replaced it. The first three all broke in the original 12 month factory warranty. The last 2 within the next year and were only replaced because i was so angry and presistant on the phone. Sansa refused to give me a new one year warranty on the replacements and said only the first 12 months from the original purchase date would be honnored in their warranty. It wasnt a fluke just poor quality. the problem occures when pluging and unpluging the head phones or audio cable. I have been extra carful not to bump the headphone jack and unplug it carfuly, i still breaks. I wouldn't recomend this pile of @%$@ to anyone. I think i will buy a sony, my original tapedeck Sony Walkman still works, and is about 20 YEARS OLD!!!

This is the best MP3 I have ever purchased, its very easy to use, and the sound quality is phenomenal. I was so satisfied this I have purchased 3 more for my husband, son, and daughter, who just absolutely love it.

This was my first mp3 player, and the hardest problem I had was taking the battery cover off ..lol honestly its rough going getting that sucker off. The download of the music was a breeze. The sound quality was better than I expected for a rather inexpensive player. I would recommend this to anyone just looking for a mp3 to listen to music primarily.
 not very reliable May 13, 2010
Generally I liked the product - good capacity, easy to use (rewind function could be designed better, but it's OK). However, after few months its left channel died. I returned the item, they repaired it (or replaced ?) and sent me back, but two months later the left channel died again.
