 A real misserable experience...!!! DON'T BUY IT...!!! Feb 22, 2010
Started to work nice but soon showed power adapter troubles and stoped working. The Service Dept. says waranty was only for 3 months, and as I didn't spect having problems with it, I didn't save "the sales slip", so "according with their rules" I don't have any thing to do with them, and I should go to Radio Shack to buy the power supply, but every body knows a 12 V DC 3.5 mA is not an "easy to find" adapter. I wander if company policies can go against the comsummer protection laws...!!!
Memorex should recall all the victims of these "lemon"-aide ADAPTERS for the Mi 1006 station, and replace them FOR FREE, for an upgraded unit , if they really care about their brand name.

I bought 2 of these 2 years ago and hardly used either of them, but they do have excellent sound. One of the power adapters just won't work now, and there seems to be no support or ability to replace this particular adapter. Waste of money and wouldn't recommend it.

... remote only works from a few feet away and right in front of the unit, and more importantly it will not play the Nano 5th generation. Didn't know that, and Market Warehouse's return policy (they don't return original (costly) shipping or pay for return shipping) makes it not worthwhile to return it. So I'll keep it as a radio that I really didn't need, I guess. No more purchases from Market Warehouse unless I know for sure I won't be returning anything.

MY WIFE BOUGHT THE SYSTEM AND HARDLY USED IT HOWEVER WHEN SHE TRIED RECENTLY, IT WILL NOT TURN ON. THE TRANSFORMER LIGHT COMES ON AND WE HAVE THE REQUIRED 20VOLT DC FROM THE TRANSFORMER. BUT NO LIGHTS OR POWER ON THE CONTROLS.
THERE IS NO WAY TO CONTAVCT MEMEOREX ON THERE WEBSITE BY EMAIL.......... NOR IS THE Mi1006 LISTED ON THERE WEBSITE. DOING A SEARCH THIS IS A COMMMON PROBLEM BUT THERE APPEARS TO BE NO SOLUTION LISTED ON THE WEB.
MY WIFE WAS PLEASED INITIALY WITH IT. BUT SORRY DON'T RUSH TO BUY THIS... TO MUCH OF A PROBLEM WITH NOT POWERING UP.......MAYBE THATS WHY IT IS NOT SOLD ANYMORE.

SRS WOW effect makes it one of the best ipod speakers. buy it with your eyes closed. Very stylish in design. can be mounted on the wall as well.
