 Don't waste your money Aug 10, 2010
I used this transmitter about 15 times before its screen broke, rendering it unusable. When I did use it, the sound really wasn't that great.
Additionally, when it's plugged into my car (an Acura TL) during acceleration, it actually causes the car's audio system to make a high-pitched humming sound. I also did not care for the fact that it is advertised as "new" when it comes in a ziplock bag and without any sort of manual or label/packaging, etc. That's not new, that's a ziplock bag.
Not good enough for $20 Jul 18, 2010
Purchased in Jan 09 - surprised the price is the same at $20. Not good enough for the price. Signal to radio is weak and always has some static - not generally enough to cover the song, but enough that it's annoying so you'd rather just use your headphones for a clear sound. I don't even bother using it anymore unless I really have to. In emergency situations it will charge a bit, but the charge doesn't hold long.
Don't know if it's my car's charging mechanism that's the problem but this product doesn't always work, have to turn it around in the charging hole to get a connection and even then it turns on and off. Again, this could be the car, though.
I use this with my iPhone 3G.

I have an iPod Video and I decided to buy this adapter for my car.
As soon as I connected it to the car, the screen showed the FM station, and it was really easy to use.
The sound quality is better than I thought, it's very good! and I haven't had problems with it so far... (I've had it for a month now)
And plus, it charges the iPod.
I totally recommend it!!

I nice simple little unit, the proverbial stunned monkey could set it up. No masses of cables, just the one. Charges my iPhone 3g. However, the sound quality is poor, particularly for anything spoken (all "S" sounds turn into staticky distortion). Take a pass on this one.
