I just bought 2 of these about 2 weeks ago for my fiance and myself. For the price I love the product. This is the first transmitter I have owned for my iPod Classic and am impressed. I tune my stereo to 87.7 and there is static on that channel in Denver, CO but when you turn on the device it almost goes away and then the music starts. I listen to mostly hip hop and just love this, no more carrying around the HUGE CD case.
The only bad thing is that you have to turn the volume up a bit higher on your stereo to hear it, but I imagine most of them are like that. Just need to remember to turn it down. I also like that you can turn the device off w/out unplugging it, easier to use and never have to move it.
I recommend this product, although the white is ugly in my tan interior car...!

This device works and I'm happy with it.
I tried a cassette adapter and the sound quality was bad. It sounded like a bad AM radio station. When I got this one, I was nervous because it's about $25 cheaper than the cheapest model at Best Buy. So I had low expectations. But I plugged it in and it worked fine.
I agree with another review in that the cord is too short. Also, I can't read the display when this adapter is plugged in to my car. The cigarette lighter in my car has a cover that flips up. This cover makes it nearly impossible to read the display. However, now that I've found a radio station that works (which happened to be the first radio station I tried), then I really don't need to read the display. I just plug it in, press Play on my iPod, and I'm good to go.
I haven't traveled with this device yet. If I do and need to change the station on the adapter in order to get rid of static, then it will be a headache because of the display issue mentioned above.
If the cigarette cover in my car flipped open to the side (as opposed to the top), then there is no display issue. So you may not have this same issue in your vehicle.
Overall, I'm definitely happy with this purchase, especially considering the price.

When I first received this, it worked great. It charged and played music very good for about 2 weeks, then it stopped charging. So, I guess it halfway works.

I purchased this for a friend of my daughter who has an older car and stereo. She only had an am fm radio in her car. When my daughter traveled with her she missed using an Ipod. We purchased the unit. Two 16 year old girls were able to get it up and running in a few minutes. They were blasting the music in the diveway and the sound was great.My daughter's friend is now very happy and appreciates her new gift.
