Don't buy this product!!!! Its pure waste of money.
I got this 3 weeks ago and i stopped using it after a week!!!
The holder keeps falling from the socket and its tough to make your remote work.I am not sure if its the problem with this particular piece (most likely), but we are not using it anymore.I even don't have an option to not place my iphone on the holder as the wire that connects the iphone is so short.
I will never recommend this product to anyone.

Overall this product seems to work well. The FM clarity is better than some other transmitters I've owned and it also charges my 4th generation ipod nano. The remote controls all of the functions of the ipod which is a plus. The reason I rated it a four instead of a five is a problem with the display similar to one of the previous reviews. If you turn the FM transmitter off and then back on, the frequency display goes blank. Everything still functions but you can't see the frequency it is transmitting. If you unplug it from the cigarette lighter receptacle for a little while and then plug it back in, the display comes back. It's a minor annoyance but not enough to justify the shipping costs for a replacement since it cost less than $20.

Got this product last week, and its been driving me crazy ever since. First off it does not hold an Iphone like it says it does, it just keeps slipping out. Then when I try to turn it on, nothing happens. Its suppose to show the FM numbers on the top, but it doesnt. I dont know if I'm doing anything wrong but this thing has become just a charger for me.

while business transaction with the company was absolutely flawless, i will give them 4 stars for that (prompt shipping and good initial communication), the product itself is horrific!!! it is so terrible i threw it in the nearest garbage. i assumed returns were not accepted plus paying for its return would not be worth it.
this is one of the lousiest items i have ever bought: not only is the static coming through speakers so loud and annoying the entire gadget does not work. utterly useless. the battery on the remote was dead for starters. however even manual usage was not possible. on top of it all, the instructions are so poorly written one can hardly understand what needs to be done. another thing which bothers me about this gadget: the ipod touch 2G does not sit inside the cradle very snugly.
so find a different solution for a great listening experience with your ipod touch 2G in your vehicle
